��ǲԾ��’s C&I program is for those who have earned, or are earning, their initial certification to teach in New York State public schools. The program includes a core research track, an inclusive education core, and coursework linking content and pedagogy. Content areas include Literacy/Language Arts, Mathematics/Science/Technology, History and Interdisciplinary.

When you complete your M.S.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction in Inclusive Education degree program at Fredonia, you will be recommended for permanent certification in your initial certification area.

EDU 508 Teaching Exceptional Learners in Inclusive Settings

Addresses evidence-based instructional approaches, curriculum adaptation, placement options, and effective use of support services for exceptional learners, with an emphasis on instructional approaches to support them in inclusive settings and in the general education curriculum.

EDU 528 Technology in the Schools

The course is designed to introduce education personnel to the techniques and equipment involved in the use and development of computer-assisted instruction (CAI). A preliminary introduction to the microcomputer will be a part of the course.

EDU 562 Infant Development and Education

Focuses on nutritional and psychological influences on prenatal, infant, and toddler growth and development, inclusive of current research in infant development; childbirth; breastfeeding; infant simulation; intellectual development; attachment behavior; and infants in group care.

One of my favorite things about Fredonia is that I have been in a classroom since my freshman year. So every year, at least one semester, I'm in a classroom getting hands on experience with students, doing lesson plans and working on reading and development. So I'm automatically applying what I'm learning in the classroom into a real life classroom with children. And it's helped my experience immensely.
