SUNY ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø alumnus Anthony LaLena
Guitarist and SUNY ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø alumnus Anthony LaLena will be a guest of the Fredonia Guitar Society on Friday, April 19 at 3 p.m., in Mason Hall Room 3140.
In a lecture-recital, Mr. LaLena, a member of the SUNY ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Class of 2013, will address the centrality of distance (and, consequently, proximity) to the aesthetic of Andrés Segovia’s earliest commissions and concert programs that spurred a renaissance of the guitar in the early 20thh century. The event will primarily appeal to guitarists, musicians, and people interested in Mr. Segovia's work.
The event is sponsored by the Fredonia Guitar Society and Student Association. It is free and the public is invited to attend.
